P/T Night Veterinary Nurse - South West London

A busy veterinary hospital in South West London requires a part time Night Veterinary Nurse on a permanent basis to join their friendly and professional team as soon as possible. They are a first opinion, referral and emergency hospital. You will be part a strong, supportive team of 6 nurses.

The referral service at this practice consists of: Neurology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, and Physiotherapy.

Cases suitable for referral to the Neurology Department at our clients Veterinary Hospital are dogs and cats with: Seizures, Personality change, Weakness, Wobbly or poorly coordinated walking, Spinal (back or neck) pain, Head tilt, Loss of balance, Loss of nerve function, Lameness where orthopaedic disease ruled out, Blindness where eye disease ruled out, Abnormal spontaneous and/ or/ involuntary movements, Muscle contracture or atrophy, Suspected syringomyelia and Suspected Feline Orofacial Pain Syndrome (FOPS).

The nights they are looking for the Vet Nurse to work are Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. You will be working alongside a Vet who is also on-site throughout the shift. You will be responsible for the care of all in-patients plus any emergencies seen overnight.

This is a demanding role that offers excellent opportunities for someone looking to develop their career in emergency nursing.
