Kelly Worrall Veterinary Surgeon, company news, career zone...

We are thrilled to announce Aoife Bakonyi Byrne Dr.Med.Vet. Cert AVP MRCVS has now joined our expert panel of writers. Aoife will be focusing on Equine, offering tips, advice, and stories to help other Equine Vets.

Aoife is Irish but qualified from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Budapest in 2007 with a degree & a doctoral research thesis. Aofie's first job was an equine internship on the Curragh in Ireland for 12 months before working for an equine ambulatory practice for a further year. Aoife wanted to gain equine reproduction experience so she followed this with a stud season beginning in Argentina & then at the Beaufort Embryo Transfer Centre in Gloucestershire. After that, Aoife worked at Rowe Equine incorporating the Equine Eye Clinic. After she got married, Aoife followed her husband (also an equine vet) to Norfolk where she now works for the Chapelfield Equine Clinic.

I am both thrilled & excited to start blogging for Recuit4vets. As a solely equine vet I am delighted to be able to share with others the highs & lows that come with working with horses both in sickness & in health on a daily basis.

Aoife's areas of interest are equine first opinion/ambulatory practice, internal medicine, reproduction, ophthalmology & dermatology.
