We are working with a practice based in Harlow, Essex that is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent full-time basis. There are two vacancies one that would suit a vet who is comfortable with routine surgical and medical cases but who seeks further coaching and exposure to more complex cases; the second would suit a more recently qualified vet looking for a supportive environment in which to develop their skills
Our client offers the latest state-of-the-art equipment, to ensure prompt diagnoses and the most effective treatments. Their purpose built, modern surgery has been designed to industry-leading standards and has state of the art equipment including in-house operating theatre and laboratory, digital x-ray, specialist dental equipment and much more. Their highly trained veterinary surgeons and nurses are kept constantly updated on the latest innovations and protocols. They offer a full range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations and they are always committed to providing exceptional veterinary services. You will be joining an experienced and established team made up of 6 vets, 4 RVNs, 8 student nurses and 2 receptionists. The team benefit from a variety of individual interests including certificate holders in medicine, endoscopy, and exotics
Both of these permanent roles are full-time, with rotas and shifts to be confirmed. The weekend rota for both roles is 1 in 3 but no out of hours and only occasional sole charge required. They are a busy practice, therefore, you will thrive in a fast paced environment and enjoy the variety that it brings! It is rare for cases to be referred outside of the practice and team members are encouraged and supported to work up their own cases to a high standard.

One of these roles would suit a vet who is comfortable with routine surgical and medical cases but who seeks further coaching and exposure to more complex cases. A particular interest in medicine would be an advantage but not essential!
The second role would suit a more recently qualified vet looking for a supportive environment in which to develop their skills.
Both roles require a vet with a real client/patient focus and the ability to build strong, long term relationships. You will also have good time management and organisational skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
