We are working with a client with a well-established veterinary practice situated a short drive from the city of Slough in Berkshire that is looking to recruit a full-time small animal Head Veterinary Nurse on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

The bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery has state of the art equipment. They are a progressive practice and have ambitions to provide world-class clinical care at the very heart of their community so they need great people to join their team to help them realise their vision. This established practice neighbours the beautiful Langley Park and is near a number of historic British tourist attractions including Windsor Castle; it's also very close to local amenities, so there are plenty of lunch options.

The Role:

This rewarding position for a Head Veterinary Nurse is permanent and full-time. The position is a 40 hour working week with shifts starting at either 8.30 am or 10.30 am for eight hours; you would also be on-call for 2-3 weeks (Mon-Sun) per year with time off in lieu.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering outstanding service and care for their clients and patients; you will be fully supported within your move and our client will offer full management training with their dedicated in-house internal training team. All of their head nurses are provided with dedicated support from the head-office; here the stress of managing your rota, dealing with recruitment, H&S, practice standards, marketing (and much more!) is taken care of, and while there are still admin duties involved in your role, this support will allow you to spend more time managing your team and doing what you love, nursing!

In return, our clients’ can offer a supportive and friendly working environment, together with career development opportunities, an excellent package and great benefits that include: £300 CPD allowance with 2 days CPD leave and in-house CPD training, RCVS and BVNA feed paid, 4 weeks’ annual leave plus Bank Holidays (FTE), Discounts to a range of external CPD providers, Exclusive retail, days out and holiday discounts, Childcare vouchers, Cycle-to-work scheme, Auto-enrolment Pension, Employee of the month awards, Hill's staff pet feeding scheme, Staff purchase scheme.
