We are working with a client with a well-established veterinary practice that is looking to recruit a full-time mixed animal Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent basis.(75% small animal, 15% large animal and 10% equine). The practice is based in the Thirsk, North Yorkshire.
Their bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is purpose-built to industry-leading standards, has state of the art equipment. It is fully equipped with an in house laboratory, dental suite, newly renovated surgical theatre and much more! The practice is on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Moors with good road links to the A1M and only two hours and thirty minutes away from London.
This rewarding position for a Veterinary Surgeon is permanent and full-time. The working hours are to be confirmed together with any out of hour or weekend requirements. This is a brilliant opportunity to work in a supportive environment with an established team of seven vets who will be able to train and support you. You will have a varied caseload as the mixed practice has 75% small animal, 15% large animal and 10% equine. The role will involve plenty of routine surgery, consults, open surgeries, farm work on beef, sheep and dairy, plus first opinion on equine.
Our client is looking for someone confident, friendly and enthusiastic with great communication skills. You’ll have good general veterinary experience and a desire to learn and improve. Ideally you will have experience of working in a busy environment, where client and patient care are key, although a new graduate would be considered. A Driving Licence is a must together with a can-do approach.
