We are currently recruiting on behalf of a dedicated, mixed practice based in Lancashire, who are looking for a full-time small animal veterinary surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Practice:

The practice has a friendly team of 15 vets: 8 small animal, 3 mixed, 4 large animal. The practice boasts excellent facilities including ultrasonography, digital x-ray, endoscopy, hydrotherapy, and K-laser in their new purpose-built building.

The Role:

This is a full-time, permanent, vet surgeon position. The practice provides its own emergency cover with generous time off in lieu for full-time vets participating in the OOH rota. There is one set night on-call each week, 1:6 weekends and 1:6 Saturday morning consultations, all with back up support from a director.

There is a varied medical and surgical caseload with plenty of opportunity to work up cases with support. The team currently has 3 certificate holders. They have regular in-house clinical clubs, as well as a generous CPD allowance for external courses, and are supported by a caring and highly skilled nursing team.

The Candidate:

This position would be ideal for a new or recent graduate looking for a supportive environment in which to gain experience and complete their PDP or would also be suitable for more experienced candidates wishing to develop to a certificate level.
