We are currently recruiting for a Theatre Veterinary Nurse to join a fantastic referral practice based in St Helens on a permanent basis.
This veterinary group is owned by a team of experienced veterinary surgeons who are able to offer a professional first opinion and referral service both in the local community and nationally. Their dedicated team of vets and nurses are happy to provide a comprehensive and caring service from their local branch practices as well as their small animal hospital which is at the centre of their referral network. Their large multi-disciplinary hospital based in Merseyside can offer a range of facilities including MRI Scanning and CT Scanning and has a large team of first opinion and Referral specials vets to help diagnose and treat all small animals as efficiently as possible. The Referral team includes specialists in orthopaedics, dermatology, soft tissue, internal medicine, cardiology, imaging, oncology and exotics.
This is a full time permanent position working on a rolling rota working 8 hour days that alternates between an early shift week and a late shift week. The early shift week consists of 8am - 4pm shifts and the late shift consists of 10:30am - 6:30pm shifts. Every 11 weeks you will be required to work 2pm - 10pm shifts however this replaces the other late shift week to ensure you don't work two late shift weeks in a row. There are no out of hours or on call involved in this position. There are only 1:9 Saturdays working 8am - 4pm however these are interchangeable. You will be paid extra for working this Saturday so you can take on more Saturdays or give Saturdays away dependent on your requirements. There is no branch work or sole charge involved in this position.
You will be a confident nurse who enjoys working in the theatre. You will also be interested in further developing your skills and experience. CPD is funded and encouraged at this practice and you are provided with 5 days CPD leave and £500 however more CPD funding is always available.
To qualify for this position, you must be fully registered with the RCVS and you must be eligible to work in the UK.
