We are recruiting on behalf of an independent veterinary practice, who are looking for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a full time basis. (Would consider part-time if necessary). Our client is based in Durham and they are an independent small animal practice.

If you would like to work in a modern, well equipped, spacious practice and you're looking for an amazingly varied caseload including the challenge of caring for rabbits, rodents, reptiles and birds you’ll certainly find it here. The team of vets have special interests in behaviour, sports and agility dogs, laboratory diagnostics, advanced surgery and alternative therapy (acupuncture).
The role is full time with a varied shift pattern on a 5 week rota - an average of 38-40 hours per week.
This involves work at both the main site and 2 branch practices close by (around 20 minutes away) and weekends as detailed below.
The ideal candidate will be competent in routine consults and surgery and have at least 1-2 years’ experience in practice.

Salary on offer is Competitive - dependent on experience, plus bonus scheme.
Hours: Full time 38-40 hours per week
Weekends: WE: 2:5 - either Sat 08:00 - 17:00 Sun off, or Sat 09:00 - 13:00 Sun 09:00 - 13:00, day off in lieu when weekend is worked
Out of hours: None
Sole Charge: Some when in branch
Skill Level: Experienced with routine veterinary procedures and confident with sole charge
