We are working with a 2 veterinary practice in North London that is looking to recruit a Lead Veterinary Surgeon (management and leadership as well as consults and surgery). This is a full-time permanent position that would suit a vet that like the challenge of coordinating a good team of people across sites.
This practice is one of the top providers of veterinary care in North London and has a strong team of 8 vets, most of which are certificate holders in Medicine or Surgery. The practice also has an array of facilities to provide a full service of care and very rarely refer any patients. All branches are modern and fully equipped with up to date surgical and diagnostic equipment. They offer a range of services ranging from free puppy and kitten consultations, vaccinations, spaying and neutering, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, separate dog and cat facilities and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. They have a large, friendly team of vets and nurses who are all highly trained and regularly kept up to date with ongoing training to ensure all staff has up to date knowledge with the advances of veterinary medicine and surgery.
This is a full-time position to work alongside the practice manager and the owner to ensure that smooth running of the practices. The practice works to a very high standard and includes some great facilities including digital x-rays (including dental) and laparoscopy. The principal vet is very open to hearing your ideas and if there was anything you wanted to bring to the table this would be welcomed. Working alongside excellent RVN team and a certificated medicine cat vet - as the practice sees a lot of cats - with a varied and interesting caseload.
This is a good vacancy for a GP vet who would like the challenge of coordinating a team of good people across all practices to make the whole organisation run smoothly. This would involve more management, working closely with the practice manager and the owner so that everything runs smoothly to let everyone else just get on with their jobs and be well managed.
