Our client is looking to recruit a permanent large/small animal animal veterinary surgeon for their practice in North Wales. They able to accommodate New Graduates for this position.
The practice is situated in a beautiful part of Wales and provides a comprehensive farm animal service, based at the practice with vets covering a large area of North Wales to provide for farms and Equine clients. They provide an ambulatory first opinion service to horses in Gwynedd and the surrounding areas. They also have facilities to examine horses at the surgery.
The practice has an in-house lab- Routine blood work Bacterial identification on skin swabs, ear swabs and urine samples, TB testing, Fertility testing, Pregnancy diagnosis, Castrating and De-horning, Blood testing for common diseases and trace element problems, ram vasectomies, investigation of herd/flock or individual animal problems, and all lambing problems.
They cater for most routine surgery and procedures including: Neutering for cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs. Dental procedures (scale and polish, x-rays, extractions) Lump removals, Ear cleaning under aesthetic, Digital x-rays, Ultrasonography.
They have a 24 hour emergency service that is staffed by the vets at the practice.
They deal with most medical and surgical cases at the surgery however, when needed cases are referred to a specialist centre for further treatment.
Our client in looking for a mixed veterinary surgeon to cover farm 80% and small animal 20% work.
This is a full role with 1:4 OOH rota and 1 in 4 weekend rota. Applicants with a preference for farm work, equine work or both would be welcome.
The practice have a good new graduate track record, but would ideally be looking for someone with farm and/ or small animal experience for this position.
