We are searching for a variety of Veterinary Specialist to work at a brand new referral centre based in West Yorkshire.
This position is for Diagnostic Imager to join our client on a full-time permanent basis.
Emerging from a successful referral service, our client will open the doors to its brand new, purpose-built referral centre in Wakefield, offering exceptional patient care with cutting-edge veterinary medicine and addressing key issues facing referral vets in the region. Their extensive facilities will be housed in what will be one of the largest and best equipped purpose-built small animal referral centre in the UK. They share a clear vision, to deliver the best, most caring and highly advanced treatment possible to patients and their owners in the North of England. Their state-of-the-art facilities are situated in pleasant, clean surroundings allowing the highest level of care, providing a high level of service to the client.
Their new facilities will include Digital imaging department, fixed 1.5T 18 channel MRI whole body scanner, 16 slice CT scanner, X-Ray and fluoroscopy, Endoscopy, Ultrasound and electro-diagnostics, operating microscopy, 24 hour intensive care facilities, 5 Ultra-hygienic operating theatres, 8 consulting rooms, spacious and comfortable waiting room with a separate cat waiting area.
They are committed to providing a multi-disciplinary referral service for patients, their owners, and referring vets. Their disciplines will include; Anaesthesia, Cardiology, Dermatology, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery.
The Candidate and Role:
We are seeking an able, enthusiastic Diagnostic Imager as part of the team in our clients specialist multi-disciplinary referral centre. This is a permanent, full time position.
The successful applicant will either hold or be eligible for an RCVS or European Diploma (or equivalent) and share our clients aim of providing excellent levels of care for their patients, clients and referring veterinary surgeons.
The imaging team provides exceptional imaging support for the other specialists working in the disciplines of medicine, soft tissue surgery, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, cardiology, dermatology and orthopaedics.
Our clients philosophy is very much one of friendly co-operation between all members of staff, creating a pleasant, supportive and good-humoured atmosphere.
Their imagers are based in the diagnostic imaging suite located at the heart of the hospital.
The imaging facilities comprise:
• Vantage Elan (MRT-2020/) 1.5 T MRI system
• Toshiba Aquilion CT scanner
• DelftDI Intuition DR from Xograph Xray equipment
• MobileDaRt Evolution EFX mobile DR x-ray system
• Ziehm Solo FD mobile C-arm
This position will be well remunerated, and the package includes 6.6 weeks' paid holiday including bank holidays and one week of funded CPD each year, a week for approved committee or examining commitments, a non-contributory pension and private healthcare.
