Our client with a long-established independent veterinary practice is looking to recruit an RVN to join their friendly team.
Our client has branches in Kingsbridge, Modbury and Ivybridge. There are 17 vets working in the practice, supported by 12 veterinary nurses, trainee nurses, receptionists and managers. Between them they cover the busy pet, horse and farm caseload. There is a wealth of experience and specialised knowledge in the practice, with ten of the vets being qualified for more than 25 years. They are large enough to have a lot of equipment to improve the diagnosis of disease and the care of their patients, whilst the spread between the three branches allows a local and personal service, and improves continuity of care.
Unlike many practices these days, they do their own out-of-hours emergency service - all phone calls are answered by one of their nursing team, who has access to the clinical records of animals from all the branches.
This is a full time role, involving all aspects of general nursing, working 5 days/ week, 1:5 weekends on a rota basis and 1 night on call/ week.
Rota is adjusted so you will have time off for working your weekends and OOH! (Friday off following your weekend and leaving at 10am on the Monday, leaving at 12midday the day after your on call).
Shifts include 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm and 10am-7pm late shift the day of your on call.
You will be based primarily at the main site, but may be required to cover at branches on occasion, so a driving license is required.
The successful candidate will be fully qualified, enthusiastic and a great team player. In return you will be awarded with a fantastic salary dependent on your experience, supported with beneficial CPD and enjoy a social and friendly team environment.
