We have an excellent opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to work at a busy well equipped practice in the Billericay area of Essex. This is a permanent position to start as soon as possible.
Our client is a busy first opinion, quality care independent practice with an extensive refurbish underway when a dedicated room will be added for scanning and ultrasound, plus more floor space and a dental x-ray. They are looking to add to the team to make it a 4 Vet practice, with 5 nurses (inc 3 RVNs) plus trainees to complete the team. Whether pets are in need of a general check-up, a routine treatment or has a more serious problem the team at this practice can provide the experience and care clients need. They understand how important pets are to their owners, that is why they use the latest surgical and veterinary equipment so clients can rest assured that their pet is in safe hands. What's more, they also offer a 24 hour emergency service, for all those unexpected incidents. This practice includes mostly internal referrals with 5% external referrals.
The Vet will be required to work full time hours, which is a 4 day week with 2-3 evening surgeries per week. The hours are 8.30am - 7.30pm for 3 days, and 8.30am - 4pm for the 4th day.
The OOH & weekend rotas are both 1:4. Weekends consist of Saturday 9am-5pm then on call, with inpatient checks on Sundays.
Some sole charge will be required in the evenings.
Consults are 15 minutes.
The practice are looking for a confident and committed Vet to provide quality of care and continuity. A sense of humour is essential!
