We are currently recruiting on behalf of a mixed veterinary practice based in Hexham who are looking for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their expanding team! This position is full-time, although part-time would be considered, permanent basis and would suit an experienced vet.
Our client based in the Hexham area and provides a professional and comprehensive range of veterinary services to farm managers, horse and pet owners in Northumberland, Tyneside and County Durham. The veterinary practice is divided into equine, farm and small animal departments each staffed with a caring and dedicated team. They aim to deliver the very best of care to every animal and to every owner at all times. The surgery provides modern hospital style facilities for all species and is permanently staffed for 24-hour care.
This position is ideally full time, working 40 hours a week but part time would be considered for the right candidate. For a full time position, you will work Mon 08.30-19.00, Tues, Wed, Fri 08.30-17.00 and Thurs 13.00-19.00. The weekend rota will be 1 in 5 Saturday mornings, there is also an out of hours rota of 1 night a week on call and on the weekend, the Saturday afternoon and Sunday will be spent on call.
You will be joining a team of 13 vets both mixed, large and small!
You will have 2-3 years’ experience and be confident with consults and surgery. You will be able to work as a team but also be comfortable with sole charge.
