We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time basis to start at a friendly practice in West Lancashire.

Their purpose built, modern surgery has been designed to industry-leading standards and has state of the art equipment including in-house operating theatre and laboratory, digital x-ray, specialist dental equipment and much more. Their highly trained veterinary surgeons and nurses are kept constantly updated on the latest innovations and protocols. They offer a full range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations and they are always committed to providing exceptional veterinary services.
Our client is looking for a highly motivated and ambitious full-time veterinary surgeon on a permanent basis. The role includes 1 in 4 Saturday’s - but is compensated by a 4 day week. There is no OOH although stable inpatients may occasionally be kept overnight. Consults are 20 minutes as standard, ensuring they provide a comprehensive overview and allows for more rapid case workups and/or more involved case discussion with clients.
You will be comfortable interacting with clients and their pets have a real passion for animal healthcare and be good with people. Applicants must have good general surgical and medical skills and be confident in a sole charge capacity, however, they would consider applicants from recent graduates. Candidates will also work well in a team and have a strong customer focus on the ability to build good relationships with regular clients.
