We are working with a client based in Cambridge that is looking to recruit a Night Veterinary Nurse on a permanent basis. Our client is happy to consider full or part-time applications for this position as they have various rotas available.
Our client has practices across North London, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire, which includes four 24-hour emergency hospitals and a specialist referral centre in London. They have nearly 300 staff, including specialists in Soft Tissue Surgery, Dermatology and Emergency and Critical Care, staff with certificates in feline practice, and residency trained consultants in anaesthesia and analgesia and internal medicine. Due to the various sizes of our clients practices the pace of work ranges from quieter practice through to a busy hospital.
This role is responsible for delivering clinical care to the hospital’s patients and client care to their owners. It is paramount that this role delivers client satisfaction to an exceptional level this includes making all interactions with clients fully focused on delivering value, exceptional service and bringing warmth to the clients. The role is purely nights, meaning that it is fully exposed to all aspects of Veterinary work in the hospital, including emergency admits.
You will work closely with the Night Vet located at our client’s hospital practice, managing the case load between you.

Your responsibilities will include patient/clinical care, client care, business development and team work. You will be self-aware with a positive attitude and receptive to change, an effective communicator both within the team and clients.
It is essential that you have strong experience in small animal surgery - medical and routine. You will also have the ability to lead as the most senior person on shift, worked in a sole charge position and have had experience of working in a busy hospital or practice. An awareness of the operational aspects of the practice that affect practice profitability is also a must.
If you have previous experience of a night vet role this would be of benefit.
