We are currently recruiting for a friendly, independent small animal practice based in Dawlish looking to recruit a Permanent Assistant Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time basis.
This practice has an experienced team that offer a friendly and personal service. Our client has been providing local independent veterinary care in the area for decades and in many cases have known pets throughout their lives.
They are proud to be an independent, locally owned small animal veterinary group which is especially important as more local surgeries are being acquired by corporate companies at an increasing rate. Being independent allows this practice to provide their own high levels of patient and client care, without the constraints and overheads of an umbrella company. This practice is equipped with a full in-house laboratory, CT scanner, dental suites, radiography and ultrasound facilities.
This position is full-time, working Monday – Friday 8:45 am – 6:30 pm with a 1:6 Saturday rota. OOHS include 1:6 weekends and a week night that week as well.
The day to day duties will include consults in the morning and evening with operations in between those times. There will be some sole charge involved in this position and branch work across 5 sites.
The ideal candidate will be confident in their own abilities with 2+ years experiences. The candidate will be a team player with excellent communications skills and happy to hit the ground running.
In return, the practice is offering a salary that is negotiable and dependent on experience.
