We are currently recruiting on behalf of a veterinary practice situated in South Devon who are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to expand their team.
The practice has been open since 2009 in their purpose-built practice to the highest hospital standards. This practice aims to be a friendly, highly experienced unit, with fully qualified veterinary staff. Also their vets are recognised as Royal College of Veterinary Specialists in several subjects including Ophthalmology and Cardiology working at the practice. They care for a wide range of small and companion animals and offer a second opinion specialist referral service in several fields, including for some large animals. They also host a secondary referral practice, which is wholly integrated with the Centre and employs the same nursing staff. The practice is currently supporting two nurses working towards their advanced nursing diplomas.
The nursing workload is predominantly referral Ophthalmology based but also involves a mixture of first opinion small animal practice and other referral services for Laparoscopy, Endoscopy, Surgery, Dentistry, CT imaging and Cardiology. They have a fully equipped purpose-built facility with new CT, ultrasound and Endoscopy suite.
They promote nursing clinics and encourage CPD (including allowance). They try to nurture any interests that our nurses have and encompass it where we can in practice.
This position offers a good opportunity for learning and growth with full support from experienced Qualified RVN's and referral specialists.
