We are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic independent small animal practice in Eastbourne who are looking for a full-time vet to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis.
The practice is one of the largest in the area, with 8.5 full-time equivalent vets, 15 registered veterinary nurses, 12 receptionists and 4 support staff. They have recently undergone a huge refurbishment, now giving them immediate access to state-of-the-art equipment and tests that allow rapid diagnosis.
This is a full-time, permanent, vet surgeon position, working 4.5-day week, with a 2:8 weekend rota.
Weekday hours tend to be between 8:30 and 7pm. The weekend rota works as follows: The first weekend on involves working in practice on Saturday between 8:30am and 5pm, and Sunday from 9am to 12pm. The following weekend requires working only on Saturday from 8:30am to 5pm. No weekend work is required for the following 6 weeks.
The vet will undertake both consults and operations, to be based predominantly at the main site, but with some branch work required across their local surgeries.
Sole charge is not required immediately but may be required at the branch surgeries once the successful candidate is settled into the practice.
There is no out of hours requirement with this position.

The practice will consider Vets of all experience levels but would prefer a vet who already has some clinical experience. The practice offers exceptionally high levels of care and customer service, so it is important that the vet is dedicated to achieving these standards.
