We have a fantastic permanent opportunity for a small animal Veterinary surgeon to join an expanding and very friendly team in this great practice based in York, North Yorkshire, on a part-time basis.
Our client offers the latest state-of-the-art equipment, to ensure prompt diagnoses and the most effective treatments. Their purpose built, modern surgery has been designed to industry-leading standards and has state of the art equipment including in-house operating theatre and laboratory, digital x-ray, specialist dental equipment and much more. Their highly trained veterinary surgeons and nurses are kept constantly updated on the latest innovations and protocols. They offer a full range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations and they are always committed to providing exceptional veterinary services. The busy and growing surgery has an existing team of 9 vets, 11RVN's, 5 veterinary care assistants, 4 receptionists and an ambulance driver.
Either a full time role working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday with shifts on a rota basis, or part-time working 15-20 hours per week. The practice is open 24/7 but there are no OOH with this position. The weekend rota is 1:4 which is compensated for in the week running up to the working weekend.
In return there is a fantastic salary on offer which is dependent on experience along with a competitive CPD allowance and discounts within the group.
The ideal candidate will be a confident and competent vet who enjoys both the client facing aspect of the position as well as working up cases to a high standard. This position would be open to confident and motivated new graduate too.
