Our Chesterfield based client is looking for a mixed Veterinary Surgeon, covering small animal and equine, to join their proud independent practice. The practice is filled with state of the art technology and they pride themselves on delivering excellent and high-quality service.
This practice is fantastically established amongst its local community in beautiful Chesterfield and the surrounding areas. They’re proud to be independently owned and even more proud of the level of high-quality care and personal service they deliver to their clients. The practice is also filled with the latest state of the art equipment and veterinary treatments thus enabling them to deal with their varied caseload efficiently. This practice also offers an open surgery service to its clients.
While this practice is predominantly small animal they are looking for an experienced vet that has a keen interest in small animal and equine practices. The role offers a 4-day working week with a share in the out of hours, working 1:3 weekends.
The daily routines are split between consulting and surgeries with afternoons of ambulatory equine work. The role requires a high level of confidence in small animal surgeries as there is also an element of supervision with new grads in practice.
On top of an equine interest, the practice would also like the candidate to have an interest in orthopedics, this, however, is not essential.
The ideal candidate would have 4-5 year experience and a keen interest in equine veterinary practice as this is where the practice is looking to develop. The practice is a busy one and is essential that the right candidate has excellent time management skills. The varied caseload and open surgery service require the ideal candidate to enjoy being challenged and working in a fast paced environment whilst still delivering the highest level of care. The practice is a friendly and hard working environment and so the ideal candidate must be a team player.
