We are working with a lovely independent practice located in Sittingbourne, Kent, that requires an enthusiastic and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis.
This independent practice was established in 1990's and has a friendly and welcoming staff including 3 vets, 6 nurses and care assistants, and an excellent nonclinical support team. The practice is housed in a beautiful building and is well-equipped with the necessary tools and technology to deliver exceptional standards of care. Consultations are by appointment only, except in cases of emergency. The practice has a digital X-ray machine, in-house laboratory, operating theatre and dental equipment.
This is a permanent part-time position. Working hours are as follows: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 11:30 am to 2:30 pm consulting, every Friday's 09:00 am to 6:30 pm consulting and operations. Ideally every Saturday morning but will also consider a rota of 1:2 working between 8:30 am and 12 pm. There is no out of hours responsibility. Would be required to cover occasional holiday leave of the other Vets.
In return, the practice can offer a competitive salary depending on experience and hours worked, funding and encouragement for relevant CPD, RCVS fees covered, 28 days holiday (no requirement to work bank holidays), and a lovely practice environment to work in with fantastic clients.
Would ideally suit a Vet who is looking to work less hours or possibly semi-retired.
The ideal candidate will be a Vet who enjoys all aspects of the job, and will strive to be a dedicated and proactive member of the team. The practice would prefer to receive applications from candidates with experience although will consider enthusiastic recently qualified Vets who have a real passion for the profession.
