We are currently recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established small animal practice in North West London who are looking for a permanent nurse to join their team on a full-time basis. The practice is looking for a nurse with at least 2 years experience who would be comfortable with mentoring responsibilities.

The Practice:

This is a friendly, independent practice located in North West London. Their clients are insured, high-end clients with a strong human animal bond. Their pets are a very important part of their family. These clients require thoroughness and attention to detail in every aspect of practice service and clinical approach. They are looking to recruit a veterinary nurse to work within a supportive team.

The practice use visiting specialists in ultrasonography, orthopaedics and complex soft tissue surgery, dentistry (root canal treatment etc.) and cardiology. 

The Role: 

This is a full-time permanent position, working 4 or 5 days per week on a rota basis. The shifts will either be 08:00 - 18:00 or 09:00 - 19:00 with no OOH and 1:3 weekends working both Saturday and Sunday 09:00 - 16:00 and time is given back in lieu for this.

The salary on offer is negotiable for the right candidate and CPD is offered on a case by case basis.

The Candidate:

You must be a caring, compassionate nurse and able to provide an excellent standard of service and must enjoy speaking to clients. The practice operates on 20-30 minute appointment times, they insist on a low volume of clients and procedures per day to ensure that high levels of care can be attained. The practice is looking to receive applications from candidates with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, who will be comfortable to mentor more junior nurses and ensure the smooth running of the practice. 

You will be joining a team of 2 vets, with 4 nurses, 3 receptionists, and 3 cattery assistants.

Salary: Competitive Salary of between £21,000 - £23,000 per annum (DOE)
