We are working with a small animal practice in Wisbech, North Cambridgeshire that has an exciting opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon (new Graduate) to join them in a permanent full-time role.
Our client is a 5 Vet practice and has been established since 1859. They take pride in their reputation of being professional, reliable, and caring to all their pet patients.
They provide 24/7 emergency care outside normal working hours, 365 days a year at their purpose built surgery. There are 3 consulting rooms for veterinary consultations and Nurse clinics. They also have a dedicated, well equipped theatre where they perform a range of surgical procedures. The clinic is scheduled to be redeveloped in the near future.
As well as this, they have a range of in house equipment to help diagnose and monitor pets, including:
• In house blood machine
• Digital x-ray
• Blood pressure and ECG monitoring capabilities
• Oxygen tent for cats and dogs
• Dental machine
• Anaesthetic machine
• Walk in kennel
This is a fantastic opportunity for a full-time new graduate vet to join our clients’ busy expanding first opinion practice. The hours are 40 per week (with a set lunch hour each day) 1 weekend in 5 with time off in lieu and no overnight out of hours. Accommodation and a car can be provided.
Recent graduates can expect dedicated in-house mentorship and access to a New Graduate Programme with lots of excellent CPD. Our clients’ encourage new graduates with performing surgery and consults from day one with support always available as they believe that the best way to learn is to get involved. Our clients’ encourage individual development, CPD and certificates in personal areas of interest. Vets are given the freedom to work up cases to completion.
