We are working with a client with a well established busy practice based north of Wigan in Lancashire that is looking to recruit two Equine Veterinary Surgeons on a full-time permanent basis.
This well established practice deals with diagnostic procedures and have a dedicated ultrasound scanner for soft tissue, e.g tendon & ligament to produce high quality diagnostic images. X-ray facilities are used to detect bony changes. They have 2 endoscopes (long & short)to evaluate the upper respiratory system. Scoping is used to evaluate respiratory noise, nasal discharge, hemorrhages & coughing. They also deal with Dentistry, Lameness Investigations, Artificial Insemination,Frozen Semen & Storage, Farriery.
There are two roles available. Both of these are full-time and permanent. The first role would suit an experienced equine vet and the other would suit a less experienced vet (possibly a new graduate). The exact working pattern is to be confirmed together with any out of hours requirements. However, this will include a 1 in 5 weekend rota. You will have an interesting, varied caseload and be joining a busy expanding team in this 6 vet practice.
