We are currently working with a RCVS accredited practice in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, that are looking for a full time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team of two vets and three nurses on a permanent basis.
This independent family owned practice is a first opinion, small animal practice based near Cheltenham, with a forward thinking team that have certificate holders visiting us on a weekly basis. The practice has in-house laboratory facilities which means that rapid results can be obtained prior to anaesthesia and in emergency situations to assess pets’ health status. Appropriate treatment can then be given to the patient as soon as possible.
The ideal candidate must have at least one or two year's experience although an experienced second year student would be considered.
This position is full-time working 40 hours a week shift patterns are 08:00-17:00 or 10:00-19:00, weekends are 1:2 Saturday mornings 08:00-12:00 - with half a day off in the week in return, there are no OOH’s in this role.
The role will involve working alongside our clients team of caring professionals carrying out a variety of skills including anaesthesia, digital diagnostics including radiography, endoscopy and ultrasonography, Laparoscopic procedures, Kennel rounds, nurse clinic consultations, reception and assisting nursing students.
