We are working with a mixed practice in Greenock, Renfrewshire that is looking for a full-time mixed animal Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent basis.
They are a 17 Vet RCVS accredited, mixed practice with close links to GUVS. They have excellent facilities, including fully equipped lab with haematology, biochemistry, electrolyte and therapeutic monitoring equipment, ultrasound scanners, digital radiography and dental x-ray machine, endoscope and the latest dental machine and equipment. The large animal side is also well equipped with fertility equipment, portable scanner, endoscope, mobile digital x-ray and processor. There are monthly visits from a cardiorespiratory specialist and a diagnostic imager attends fortnightly. There is an in-house ophthalmologist certificate holder and acupuncturist.
This is a full-time permanent role for a mixed animal Veterinary Surgeon. The exact working pattern is to be confirmed, however, this will include a 1 in 9 rota including out of hours work.
You should be a confident surgeon with general surgical and medical skills, capable of working sole charge at times, and with a strong customer-service focus. You will be passionate about providing an excellent service and working as part of a highly-skilled team. You will also enjoy a variety of cases and have the ability to work these up to a high standard. Enthusiasm and energy are a must, as is a willingness to communicate with colleagues and clients, in the best interests of your patients. You will also have the opportunity to study towards a certificate as this is strongly encouraged.
