We are working with a practice in Battersea, South West London that is looking for a Head Veterinary Nurse to start on a full-time permanent basis.

The Practice:

This practice offers the latest state-of-the-art equipment, to ensure prompt diagnoses and the most effective treatments. Their surgery has been designed to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including in-house operating theatre and laboratory, digital x-ray, specialist dental equipment and much more. Their highly trained veterinary surgeons and nurses are kept constantly updated on the latest innovations and protocols. They offer a full range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations and they are always committed to providing exceptional veterinary services. You will be joining a team of 2 Vets, 4 Nurses and additional support staff.

The Role:

The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team.

As a Head Veterinary Nurse you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice.

All of our clients’ head nurses are provided with dedicated support from our head-office; here the stress of managing your rota, dealing with recruitment, H&S, practice standards, marketing (and much more!) is taken care of, and while there are still admin duties involved in your role, this support will allow you to spend more time managing your team and doing what you love, nursing!
