We are working with a practice in Battersea, South West London that is looking for a Head Veterinary Nurse to start on a full-time permanent basis. Previous experience of working in a small animal practice is required for this role.

The Practice:

This practice offers the latest state-of-the-art equipment, to ensure prompt diagnoses and the most effective treatments. Their surgery has been designed to industry-leading standards and has state of the art equipment including in-house operating theatre and laboratory, digital x-ray, specialist dental equipment and much more. Their highly trained veterinary surgeons and nurses are kept constantly updated on the latest innovations and protocols. They offer a full range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations and they are always committed to providing exceptional veterinary services. You will be joining a team of 2 Vets, 4 Nurses, and additional support staff.

The Role:

This is a permanent full-time role, working a rota of shifts that will include 08:30-17:30 or 10:30-19:30. The weekend rota and out of hour requirements will be discussed at the interview.

The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the nursing team.

As a Head Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice.
