The practice is well equipped with CT, Endoscopy, Ultrasound, Laporoscopy, Orthopaedics, Digital Xray and Hydrotherapy
The successful candidate will be joining a great team, consisting of 5 full time, 2 night and 3 part time experienced vets as well as multiple mobile vets and residents. The team also has 4 RVNs, 3 SVNs, 3 PCAs and multiple mobile PCAs.
They have wallabies in the clinic gardens and the clinic does work for 5 zoo's, Cats protection, the police and border force.
As the chosen vet for 5 licensed zoo's, this is the perfect practice to further exotic medicine experience/knowledge. With exposure to a variety of cases from mid-sized cats, birds, llamas, reptiles, to Camels. This has been an exotics referral practice for over 30 years!
This role would entail responsibility for a vast exotics caseload, twinned with some small animal cases, this role is ideal for a driven and enthusiastic veterinarian.
You will be an RCVS registered vet with 2 years of experience or more. You will have experience, a certificate or keen interest in Exotics. You will enjoy and be happy & confident with routine surgeries. An interest or skills in zoological medicine would be a bonus, and most importantly you will know how to look after your clients and their pets. Client and Patient care are our top two priorities so you must be a great communicator.
In addition you have the back-up and expertise from our clients’ team based in the 8 other branches in the area. This gives you the ability to be involved in the work-up and treatment/management of all your cases - start to finish - under the guidance of our clients’ extremely experienced team.
