We are currently working with a practice in the Gosforth, Tyne and Wear and they are looking to recruit a full time mixed Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent basis. The mix at the practice is 85% small animal and 15% large animal.
This practice is proud to offer 24 hour round the clock emergency care to all their pets, every practice is fully equipped and staffed with dedicated veterinarians and nurses providing the best possible care for their clients beloved pets. Some of the diagnostic and surgical services available to their clients include fully-equipped operating theatres at every branch, dental equipment, radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, ECG and in-house laboratories.
The ideal candidate would ideally have some experience, as some sole charge would be required at a couple of branches.
This position is full time working 08:00-18:30 or 08:30-18:30 depending on which branch you are at. Weekends are one full weekend in six with one week day off. One Saturday morning in three but one of those would be part of the full weekend. One night on call per week.
As part of the contract accommodation and vehicle are available, however, you will have the option to own accommodation and vehicle (you would then qualify for a housing allowance of £6,000 per annum and a car allowance of £4,000 is offered).
In return, our client is offering a competitive salary, 8 weeks holiday and CPD allowance.
