We are currently recruiting for a well-established Mixed Veterinary Practice based in Worcestershire. The practice is looking for a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their team on a permanent basis in their (small animal only) branch. They are open to applications from Small, Equine, Farm or Mixed (Farm & Equine) Veterinary Surgeons.

The Practice:

They have purpose-built premises that are proud to be able to offer a committed team of 12 vets and nurses who welcome all species of animal from horses, cows, cats, dogs, lizards and many more. Their aim is to provide professional veterinary care of the highest quality, delivered with compassion & consideration in a relaxed & friendly environment. They offer a wide range of services including neutering, micro-chipping, orthopaedics, pet passports, radiography, cryosurgery, endoscopy, operating facilities, poultry, behaviour, ultrasound scanning, health checks, cremation, senior pets, dietary advice, dental advice, exotics, ophthalmology, vaccination and a cat clinic.

The Role:

This is a full-time position, based over a 4.5 day week with no OOH's. The weekly rota is 08:30 to 18:30 week days, Saturdays 08:30 to 16:30 and Sunday 10:00 to 16:30. 

•       4.5 days per week

•       1 in 6 weekends

•       Minimum 3 years’ experience required

•       Salary is based on experience and benefits that include - Bonus, CPD, VDS fees paid, pension scheme and 5 weeks paid holiday plus bank holidays.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years post-graduate experience and be capable of working on small animals. An interest in both dairy farms and with pleasure horses is advantageous. They should have a scope to learn, develop and also introduce new ideas to the branch. 

In return, the practice can offer a generous salary based on experience, bonus, paid CPD and VDS, pension scheme and 5 weeks paid holiday plus bank holidays.
