We are currently recruiting on behalf of a dedicated, independent, small animal practice based in Chesterfield that is looking for a full-time Clinical Director to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

The Practice:

Our client is a friendly, caring veterinary practice that is independently owned and run by the members of staff that are working there. The practice is an approved Tier 2 RCVS surgery and are also a nurse training centre. Their practice is established amongst the local community and now provides care to thousands of pets every year. They know as well as anyone that owners consider their pets to be a member of the family and that is why the whole team work hard to provide the very best veterinary care services.

The practice provides a full range of services and their veterinary care is underpinned using a full range of modern treatments. They have a strong team of 10 vets and 14 nurses, with 4 consultation rooms and 2 operating theaters.

The Role:

This is a full-time, permanent, Clinical Director position where you will be working approx. 40 hours per week with weekday shifts are worked between 09:00-19:00, with some early finishes included. There are no out of hours requirements for this role

The weekend rota is 1:6 working Saturdays in clinic 09:00-15:00 and Sunday 10:00-12:00. Your typical day will be made up of morning consults and afternoon surgeries.

In return, the practice can offer a competitive salary of circa £60,000 - £70,000 p/a (DOE) along with RCVS fees paid for, CPD and Certificate support, 6 weeks holiday, and 1 weekday off every fortnight.

The Candidate:

The practice is looking for a Clinical Director with at least 4 years’ experience, who is confident to undertake consultations and surgeries. This is a busy practice with a varied case load, so the vet must be ambitious and proactive, who is ready to hit the ground running and thrive in a fantastic veterinary team. You must have outstanding communication skills and be a real team player.
