We are currently recruiting on behalf of a dedicated, independent, small animal practice based in Chesterfield that is looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team on a permanent basis.
Our client is a friendly, caring veterinary practice that is owned and run by the members of staff that are working there. The practice is also a nurse training centre. Their practice is established amongst the local community and now provides care to thousands of pets every year. They know as well as anyone that owners consider their pets to be a member of the family and that is why the whole team work hard to provide the very best veterinary care services.
The practice provides a full range of services and their veterinary care is underpinned using a full range of modern treatments. They have a strong team of 8 vets and 12 nurses, with 4 consultation rooms and 2 operating theatres.
This is a full-time, permanent, Registered Veterinary Nurse position where you will be working approx. 40 hours per week with various shifts between 08:30-19:00, with some early finishes included. There are no out of hours requirements for this role
The weekend rota is 1:12 working Saturdays in clinic 08:30-15:00 and Sunday 10:00-12:00.
In return, the practice can offer a competitive salary of circa £12 per hour (DOE) along with RCVS fees paid for, CPD and Certificate support, 20 days holiday and bank holidays .
The practice is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse with at least 1 years’ experience but a newly qualified nurse would be considered. This is a busy practice with a varied case load, so the Registered Veterinary Nurse must be ambitious and proactive, and someone who is ready to hit the ground running and thrive in a fantastic veterinary team. You must have outstanding communication skills and be a real team player.
