We are currently working with a well established practice who are looking to recruit a permanent Veterinary Surgeon on a full time basis. You will be joining a well-equipped small animal practice that is part of a group of seven sites.

The Practice:

The practice was established some 30+ years ago and has now grown to 7 branches in total, comprising of one Veterinary Hospital and 6 standard General Practices. Six of the 7 sites have radiography and 5 have ultrasound, with a CT at the main hospital. Each site has regular vets for continuity and where possible the practice endeavours to accommodate the client's choice of vet.

The Role:

This is a full time position working 4 days one week and 5 days the following week, with opening hours of 08:30 - 18:30. There is an OOH service across all sites and 3 other local practices. The rota is on an equal basis and is currently 1:17 and comprises of a week of nights during which period you are not required to work during the day. This is ran from the main hospital site and there is basic accommodation provided on site for the duty vet should they require it.

Weekends are also on a 1:17 rota, here is a summary of how the OOH and weekends work:

1/17 Week of nights

1/17 Sundays working

1/17 Saturdays working

3/17 Working Saturday mornings (2 x until lunch time, 1 x until 10:30 am) (site dependent).

The Candidate:
