We are working with a lovely small animal practice in the beautiful Georgian city of Truro, Cornwall that is looking to recruit a full-time permanent Veterinary Surgeon.

The Practice:

The practice constantly endeavors to improve their services and grow their client base and there is good scope to develop your career and forge strong client and patient bonds. Our clients’ team is very experienced and genuinely supportive and they pride themselves on their reputation for providing a fantastic service. They have digital x-ray, ultrasound and Idexx in-house laboratory equipment. You will be joining a small friendly team of 3 Vets, 3 Nurses and 2 Receptionists.

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent opportunity for a small animal Veterinary Surgeon. The roll is between 36 and 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, although there would be some flexibility on this for the right candidate. There is no OOH and a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota allows for a good work-life balance and plenty of time off to explore the beautiful Cornish coastline and countryside.

The Candidate:

You should be a confident surgeon with 3 to 5 years veterinary experience in general surgical and medical skills and experience in emergency surgery, capable of working sole charge and with a strong customer-service focus. You will be passionate about providing an excellent service and working as part of a highly-skilled team. You will also enjoy a variety of cases and have the ability to work these up to a high standard. Enthusiasm and energy are a must, as is a willingness to communicate with colleagues and clients, in the best interests of your patients. You will also have the opportunity to study towards a certificate as this is strongly encouraged.
