We are working with a friendly small animal practice in Fareham, Hampshire that is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a 6-month fixed term contract, which could develop into a more permanent role for the right candidate. This opportunity has arisen to cover sabbatical leave and would suit a vet with at least two years of clinical experience.
This opportunity has arisen to join our client's friendly small animal practice. Where their aim is to provide good quality health care to all of their patients, and are lucky enough to have an enthusiastic and loyal client base who respect the opinions and follow the advice and recommendations, in order to find the underlying cause of their pet’s problems.
The practice is custom built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment which enables them to deliver the highest quality of service to their patients. They have a team of highly trained vets that are supported by a team of RVNs, SVNs, VCAs and support staff.
This practice is part of a family of five surgeries on the South coast who support each other and includes several certificate holders.
This is a full-time position working 4 days a week and 2.5 weekends in 8 weeks. There are no out of hour requirements giving a great work/life balance.
The shifts during the week are 08:45-19:00 with 1.5-hour unpaid lunch break from 13:30-15:00.
The shifts on a weekend would be -
Saturday 08:45-18:00 with 1.25h-hour unpaid lunch break 13:15-14:30
Our client is looking for a veterinary surgeon with at least two years post-graduate clinical experience, a particularly keen interest in surgery as this is an area the practice is keen to develop in.
You should value being part of a team with a fun and positive attitude, and love to build a good rapport with your clients. Good time management is a must within this practice, and they are all fortunate enough to be able to discuss and build on each other’s knowledge when working up their individual cases.
