We are working with a practice based in Newport, South Wales that is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a full-time permanent basis.
The surgery is purpose built and includes a separate theatre and cat and dog kennels, ultrasound, BP machine, capnography, pulse ox, digital x-ray processor, ECG, in-house bloods and microscopy allowing the team to provide the best level of care to the patients. Newport has a great client base with a high percentage of insured clients which allows variety in the role. You will be joining an experienced welcoming team. The practice has a family feel and a real presence in the community. The surgery is based 5 minutes from the centre of Newport with a bus stop right outside. Commuting by car is also simple with the M4 just 2 minutes away, making Cardiff and the Severn Bridge easily accessible.
This position is for a permanent Veterinary Surgeon. The position is full-time – 40 hours divided over 4 days and includes a Saturday morning rota of 1 in 3 There are no out of hours or sole charge.
Applicants must have good general surgical and medical skills, providing the best client and patient care. You must also be able to work as part of a team with great communication skills. There is no OOH or sole charge required with this role. The practice has good anaesthetic and diagnostic equipment to allow plenty of learning and progression. The role would be very suitable for new graduates as there is plenty of support and experience, and they are also accredited as a Nurse Training Practice.
