s within commuter distance of London or the south coast & close to Gatwick airport. Our client is currently looking to recruit a permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their compassionate veterinary team on a full-time permanent basis.

The Practice:

This is a well-established, busy, independent, forward-thinking, first opinion practice with the clinical freedom to provide the very best care and treatment plans tailored to each individual patient & client.  The position would involve working in a friendly, happy environment with 8 vets, 11 nurses and a great support team. The practice covers their OWN OOHs.  They are not an emergency clinic and they have a nurse on site to care for in patients & help the vet. The on call is not 'awake' all night & can be at home if local or they have accommodation onsite. The vet's and nurse can sleep & take emergency phone calls, only seeing clients in an emergency. The vets say that their night duties are quiet, they are rarely called out. The practice has modern, up-to-date facilities including endoscope, laser, digital X-ray, brand new Idexx catalyst and procyte in-house lab, baer hugger and other toys. Nurses also do their own clinics including, weight control, parasitic advice, laser theory, diabetic advice, nail clips etc. the practice also offer a visiting service with 1 vet and 1 nurse one day per week.  

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent RVN position working 42.5 hours per week with shifts of 8.5 hour. There are also 3 nights per month on call where you can sleep at the practice and leave at 8 am the following day. 

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be passionate about veterinary care, keen to grow, good communication skills including a good standard of verbal and written English. The successful candidate will have a proven track record gained working in practice although our client would also consider a recent graduate who is keen to develop. Forward thinking, flexible, compassionate and understanding for the owners and their pets plus a good team player would all be considered prerequisites for this post as the practice will be able to provide ongoing progression prospects. 


Role: Permanent RVN

Hours: Full-Time 42.5 hours per week.

Weekend: Yes, rota to be confirmed

OOHs/On call: Yes, 3 nights on call per month.
