We are working with a practice based in Leeds, West Yorkshire that is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join them on a permanent full-time basis.

The Practice:

This practice offers the latest state-of-the-art equipment, to ensure prompt diagnoses and the most effective treatments. Their modern surgery has been designed to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including in-house operating theatre and laboratory, digital x-ray, specialist dental equipment and much more. Their highly trained veterinary surgeons and nurses are kept constantly updated on the latest innovations and protocols. They offer a full range of treatments from health checks to emergency operations and they are always committed to providing exceptional veterinary services. This is a busy 24/7 practice and covers out of hours for 11 other practices within the group. As a result they see a varied and interesting case load. Regularly tackling orthopedics and complex soft tissue surgeries as well as hospitalization for those in need. 

The Role:

This is a permanent full-time position for a Registered Veterinary Nurse working 40 hours per week, typical split into 3 longer days and a half day with 1 in 4 weekends. Flexibility is a necessity as the day team are required to be able to work from 7:30 am to 8:30pm albeit not in the same shift! 

The Candidate:

Our client is looking for a confident person with excellent technical skills. Clinical experience assisting in a high-volume veterinary practice, as all the staff are cross-trained and you will often be responsible for everything from the patient being admitted to being discharged. You’ll be confident at placing catheters, administering and monitoring anesthesia, as you’ll be supervised but not handheld or micromanaged. You’ll also be dealing with clients through consultations giving advice and liaising regarding their pets care. You’ll answer phone calls positively, in line with the practice philosophy in this progressive and forward thinking practice.
