We are working with a very well equipped and recently refitted small animal practice in Nottingham that is looking to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent full-time basis. They are open to receiving applications from all levels of experience.

The Practice:

This is a modern, high quality small animal practice in Nottingham has plenty of free parking available. They are a close team of vets and nurses that pride themselves on excellent client and pet care. They believe in preventative medicine and will advise on vaccination, diet, training and exercise. As a practice they continuously invest in training and equipment to make sure they can offer the most up to date treatments to keep pets in the best possible health. This dedicated team are on hand to see clients and their pets during an emergency - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They operate to 15 minute minimum consultations and use the Jupiter Enterprise computer sytem. As well as all the standard equipment expected in a veterinary practice, their other equipment includes:

  • High power dental machine with built in fibre optics.
  • Digital X-ray.
  • Ultrasound with colour doppler imaging.
  • ECG.
  • Endoscope with biopsy and foreign body forceps.
  • Pulse Oximiter
  • Doppler Ultrasonic Blood Pressure Meter
  • Tonovet Eye Pressure Meter

The Role:

This is a full-time permanent position that will include working weekends on a 1 in 3 basis (or less) and an out of hours rota of 1 in 3. They cover their own on call service in the practice so that they can follow up all cases from start to finish, these are very quiet – less than 1 call per week.

The Candidate:

They are looking for an enthusiastic vet with good interpersonal skills that will join a high standard independent small animal practice. All levels of experience would be considered for this role as they support any further veterinary training that is relevant to the practice. You will be working with a very experienced principal vet undertaking most procedures in house and has a lot of practice in helping vets to develop new skills.
