We are currently working with a great practice in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, they are looking for a Mixed Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on a permanent basis. The mix for this role is 45% small animal, 45% farm animal and 10% equine, so is truly mixed position.
The practice provides a wide variety of more extensive services for all patients. They offer hospitalisation and intensive care for seriously ill patients, and routine diagnostic tests that are performed on site in our laboratory. The hospital has ultrasound, x-ray and dental facilities. They have a separate surgical suite, and strive to provide the best in anaesthetic and surgical care, from routine spays and neuters to orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery. Should the need for referral arise, they have excellent relationships with many specialists in areas such as internal medicine, critical care, surgery, cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, and oncology.
The practice itself is well equipped with in-house laboratory, surgical and dental suite and ultrasound. They also have local support in internal medicine, critical care, surgery, cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, and oncology.
This role would suit a candidate with some experience as sole charge would be required, you should be motivated and enthusiastic and want to have a real input in the practice and help them stay at the forefront of clinical thinking while maintaining their clients ethos of putting pets first.

This is a full time position working a 4.5 day week, with a 1:6 OOH rota. Time in lieu is given for any weekends worked. You’ll join an 8-vet team, well supported by our clients fabulous nurses.
