We are working with a small independent practice in Worthing, West Sussex that is looking for an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to join them on a permanent full or part-time basis. This practice specialises in the care of felines as they a cat only veterinary clinic.
This is an exciting opportunity and would be purrfect for an RVN who has a keen interest in feline veterinary medicine and who would look to develop the role as part of a growing business.
This clinic has been designed with the sole aim of providing an environment that is the most suited to cats and their behaviour. By removing the stress' so commonly found in vet practices, they are provide cats with the best chance of responding well to treatment and keeping them fit and healthy.
Everything in this specially designed practice is designed with the comfort of your cat and to ensure that their stay with the practice is as stress-free and comfortable as possible. From the cages being spacious, warm and comfortable through to their equipment being optimised specifically for cats including:
- Dentistry (including dental x-ray)
- Ultrasound scanner
- Blood pressure monitoring
All of the RVNs in the practice perform schedule 3 procedures in the clinic under the supervision of the veterinary surgeons. As they are an independent practice, there is plenty of scope to develop your own areas of interest, and introduce new services to benefit patients and clients.
This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced Head Veterinary Nurse to join feline only practice on a full or part-time basis. The full-time role would be 4 days per week and part time would be either 2 or 3 days per week. All shifts will be 08:00-18:30, with no out of hours or weekend requirements. You will lead our clients small clinical team of RVNs and support staff, where they offer a personalised service taking time to get to know their clients and their cats.
You must possess strong leadership skills to manage a small clinical team in a busy clinic to ensure the day to day running of the clinic is managed effectively in support of the veterinary surgeons.
You will also be a positive motivator and coach for your clinical team. Business awareness is a must, as you will be expected to proactively facilitate the growth of the business, including achieving PSS accreditation. In addition, you will be required to undertake your own nurse clinics to proactively promote preventative health care and build long-lasting relationships with our client base.
