We are currently working with a friendly, independent practice in Derby who is looking for a permanent Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join them on either a full or part-time basis. The practice is open to receive applications from vets of all levels of experience, from New Graduates to Experienced vets.
Our client has been established for over 70 years and is 100% Small Animal Practice. They are centrally located in Derby, providing an exceptional standard of care, with experienced and compassionate staff using state of the art equipment. They pride themselves on providing an individual and personable service, striving to ensure their clients see their own vet every visit. Our client is proud that they have achieved the RCVS Accredited Practice status. Furthermore, their Head Vet has gained the RCVS advanced practitioner status in Orthopaedics and routinely performs MMP (TTA) to correct Cruciate Instability, Patella Luxation (Knee-Cap Dislocation), Fracture Repair including Plating, Pinning and External Fixation, Femoral Head Ostectomy, and Platelet Therapy. Facilities include 3 consult rooms, 2 surgical theatres, dental suite, digital x-ray, ultrasound, ECG, In-house Lab, separate cat, and dog wards and isolation ward.
Our client is happy to consider candidates of all experience levels including New Graduates. This position is available on either a full time or part-time basis. The rota is completely open to negotiation and flexible where possible to suit your needs. There are no OOH and weekends are on a rota of 1:3 Saturdays.
Duties are also flexible to suit the ideal candidate and you can operate as much or as little as you are comfortable with, however, you must be confident with sole charge as there are periods of sole charge. Branch work is required and is incorporated as part of the rota.
