We are recruiting for a friendly permanent small animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established Veterinary hospital based in Ormskirk, Lancashire. The practice is looking for a vet with at least 3 years post graduate experience.
The practice is a tier three RCVS accredited hospital, which stipulates diagnostic, surgical and treatment standards throughout. The practice is proactive in finding the best evidence medicine. The practice has undertaken extensive refurbishments and now has facilities include waiting area, reception, and pharmacy, two consulting rooms, two theatres with their anaesthesia preparation areas, diagnostic imaging, cat, dog, orthopaedic and isolation wards etc. At present, the practice has a team of 6 vets, 1 head nurse, 6 student nurses, 3 auxiliaries and admin staff.
This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday with shifts of 09:00-18:00 and weekend rota of 1 in 6 Saturdays 09:00-16:00. There is also a requirement for on-call / evenings and these are shared on a rota basis.
In this role, you will be covering duties that include consults, operations and sole charge. You will be working across our clients' branches as well as the hospital, for this a vehicle is available.

This practice is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least three years post graduate experience as there are elements of sole charge required. You will be confident in surgery, have good customer service skills and strong communications. You will be joining a friendly team so they are looking for a good team player that will play their part
