We are working with a well-established small animal practice based in Islington, North London, that is recruiting for a full time, Lead Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent basis. The practice is looking for a vet with at least 3 years experience.

The Practise

The practice provides an excellent standard of veterinary care while maintaining a friendly and personal service. The Islington clinic has the latest equipment on site and can provide the highest level of care and attention. Alongside preventive healthcare, their clients can also benefit from appointments with the nursing team to discuss and gain advice on weight loss, puppy and kitten checks etc. They also have access to the in house services of an Orthopaedic Surgeon, a Specialist in Diagnostic Imaging and Ultrasound. As well as Certificate holders in Ophthalmology, General Veterinary Practice, Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. 

The team currently consists of 2 vets, 2 nurses and 3 receptionists.

The Role

This role is a full-time Lead Veterinary Surgeon permanent position, working 42 hours. There is a weekend rota of 1.3 Saturday 08.00 - 13.30 hours. Along with general veterinary duties, you will also have management responsibilities in your day to day work.

In return, our client is offering a generous salary circa £45,000 p/a (DOE) and benefits.

The Candidate:

As the Lead Veterinary Surgeon, our client is looking for a vet with at least 3 years post-graduate experience that will be motivational and supportive to the team in the practice. It would be of benefit if you have managerial experience although this is not essential. This role would suit an ambitious vet that is looking for a challenging role.
