We are working on behalf of our client who is looking for a permanent full-time Ward Veterinary Nurse to join its specialist small animal veterinary practice, based near Godalming in Surrey. This role would suit a Veterinary Nurse who wishes to develop their nursing knowledge and skills to the next level.

The Practice:

The practice is located against a beautiful backdrop in rural Surrey and has Veterinary Surgeons who specialise in the treatment of orthopaedic and neurological conditions in small companion animals.

The practice is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and has facilities including:-

  • Custom built patient wards with glass doors to allow a wide field of view for the animals.
  • Digital imaging system including MRI, CT, and Arthroscopy
  • In-house Physiotherapists
  • A rehabilitation centre within the building

The Role:

This exciting position involves caring for orthopaedic and neurological patients in wards. You will get exposure to caring for patients with a range of conditions, including intensive care patients and using advanced nursing skills. You should be a dynamic individual with high attention to detail and the ability to work well in a face-paced environment.

Our client provides a 12-week induction training scheme where all new nurses are trained by a nursing mentor. Their structure encourages extra learning and monthly lectures are held internally so you can share and develop your knowledge.

This is a full-time position, working a 40 hour week on a rotating shift pattern of 07.00 - 15.00 and 14.00 - 22.00 alongside a 1 in 5 weekend rota. You would also be part of a bank holiday working rota.
