We are working on behalf of our client who is looking for a permanent full-time Veterinary Nurse to join its specialist small animal veterinary practice, based near Godalming in Surrey. This role will rotate between prep and ward duties and would suit an experienced registered nurse who is driven to provide a high level of nursing to all patients in your care.

The Practice:

The practice is located against a beautiful backdrop in rural Surrey and has Veterinary Surgeons who specialise in the treatment of orthopaedic and neurological conditions in small companion animals.

The practice is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and has facilities including:-

  • Custom built patient wards with glass doors to allow a wide field of view for the animals.
  • Digital imaging system including MRI, CT, and Arthroscopy
  • In-house Physiotherapists
  • A rehabilitation centre within the building

The Role:

This exciting position involves preparing patients for surgery, monitoring anaesthesia and looking after patients post-operation, in addition to caring for orthopaedic and neurological patients in wards.

This is a full-time position with a rotating shift pattern of 07.00 - 15.00 and 14.00 - 22.00 when working in the ward, followed by 07.00 - 15.00 and 12.00 - 20.00 when working in prep. The weekend rota involves working 1 in 5 weekends.
