Our client is a well-established small animal practice based in Nottingham that has a second site in Derby. Due to expanding their current team of seven vets, they are looking to recruit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent full-time basis.

The Practice:

This practice is well equipped to deal with all aspects of pet care, from primary health needs, such as vaccinations, right through to complicated surgical and medical problems should they arise.

Our client is an excellent team of vets at this small animal hospital practice based in the Derby/Nottingham area who have been providing an excellent service for over 30 years. This hospital is a well-equipped veterinary hospital which allows them to treat both primary and emergency treatments. With a number of branches in the local area, the hospital practice also does take referrals from them and other practices in the local area. Within their purpose-built facility, they have a wide range of machines including a new ultrasound machine, a state of the art digital x-ray machine, a complete dental machine which comes with a drill, scaler and polisher and much more.

The Role:

This is a full-time role working 4.5 or 4 days a week with various shifts of 09:00-19:00, 09:00-16:00 and 09:00-13:00. The weekend rota is 1.5 in 6 which includes a full weekend working Saturday 09:00-13:00 and Sunday 10:00-16:00 and a weekend working just the Saturday morning 09:30-12:00. There will sole charge required on a weekend so you must be comfortable with this.

Your duties will include consults and operations and if you have an interest in ultrasound this would be an advantage. There will also be a limited amount of branch work.

In return, our client is offering a competitive salary (DOE) and benefits that include:

  • CPD Allowance
  • 25 days holiday allowance
  • Company pension contributions
  • Certificates can be supported
  • Career Progression

The Candidate:

You will be joining a large team of 27 which includes vets, nurses and support staff that are happy and progressive. You must be a bubbly outgoing individual with at least 2 years post graduate experience. A great communicator that is very ambitious and a team player.
