We are currently working with a client based in Ashford, Kent, who is looking to recruit an experienced, full-time Veterinary Surgeon on a permanent basis.
This friendly surgery is one of a group of branch practices across the area and offers on-site Out of Hours emergency care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year provided by Vets Now. You will be joining a busy practice with 6 Vets and 6 RVNs who are passionate about providing a friendly, caring service. Practice facilities and services include:
- General surgical and orthopaedic procedures
- Radiography including B.V.A Hip and Elbow Canine Health Schemes
- Ultrasonography including pregnancy diagnosis
- Echocardiography, ECG and cardiology consultations
- In house laboratory facilities for blood testing, urine analysis and cytology
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Laser Therapy and Acupuncture
- Feline medicine referral and endoscopy consultancy
This is a full-time role working 4 days a week with shifts of 08:30 -18:30 Monday to Friday with one late shift until 19.30. There is also a weekend rota of 1 in 6 Saturdays from 08.30 - 16.30. There are no Out of Hours requirements.
Typical daily duties will include a mixed shared rota of consults and ops. Opportunities for progression to Head Vet are a possibility for the right candidate. In return, our client is offering a competitive salary of £40,000+ and a benefits package subject to experience.
Our client is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least 4 years experience and who holds a certificate in small animal surgery. You will have good all-round veterinary skills, be surgically experienced and passionate about providing a high level of care. Joining a busy, friendly team, you should be a strong team player with a good sense of humour. As an experienced vet, you will be happy supporting team members with less experience
