We are working with a dedicated, experienced and passionate team of Veterinary Specialists in Hitchin, Hertfordshire that has a rarely available opportunity for an experienced Radiologist to step into a Clinical General Management position, leading a highly experienced Diagnostic Imaging team. 

The Practice:

Located in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside our clients' hospital is designed to ensure that the very best care, including nutritional management and physiotherapy, can be provided at all times. With six wards including an intensive care unit, a separate cat ward, and an isolation unit, they can comfortably treat and care for 90 patients at any one time. Each ward is staffed by dedicated patient care nurses, who quickly get to know each patient’s clinical problems and particular character.

They have an intensive care unit which means that they can manage and monitor both post-surgical as well as medically ill cases 24 hours a day, whilst five theatres are comprehensively equipped for anaesthesia and monitoring. Other state-of-the-art facilities and procedures offered include 11 consulting rooms, on-site laboratory, diagnostic facilities, orthopaedic theatre, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, neurosurgery (including spinal surgery and brain surgery), cardiology and anaesthesia.

The Role and Candidate:

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Radiologist to step into a Clinical General Management position, to lead our clients' highly experienced Diagnostic Imaging team. Their team of radiologists, radiography nurses and radiographers support the internal medicine, cardiology, ophthalmology, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedic, neurology, oncology and dermatology services. They work closely with a specialist-led anaesthesia team, a highly-skilled nursing team, and incredible support teams.

As Head of Service, you will have the autonomy to shape and develop the service bringing creative and innovative solutions. You will be networking and sharing experiences with a large, vibrant network and with exciting plans for further development, including a new MRI/CT, and a residency training program, this is a great time to join our clients' team.

If you are an ECVDI or ACVR diplomate with at least 3 years post diploma experience and would like to develop your clinical management career, then we would like to hear from you.
